Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
Clay is a physician/scientist with a clinical specialty in pediatric oncology. He completed his undergraduate training in Biochemistry and English Literature at Rice University followed by his MD and PhD in Biochemistry and Genetics, focused on signal transduction in cancer, at the University of Texas Medical Branch. His clinical interest is in early phase clinical trials for pediatric solid tumors, with a special focus on the common and deadly tumor neuroblastoma. His lab is focused on the development of novel therapeutics to treat pediatric solid tumors, also with a special focus on neuroblastoma.
